Join us for the Coppin State University College of Business Annual Closing the Wealth Gap Summit presented by The Charles Schwab Foundation & Schwab Advisor Services. 

This summit aims to promote financial literacy and wealth-building strategies for advancing emerging communities. Following the successful opening of the College of Business building in 2023, the second annual Summit will feature rich conversations about the landscape of wealth in Maryland and the U.S. and evidence-based solutions for addressing the wealth gap.

Panelists will discuss the landscape in Maryland and the U.S., as well as evidence-based solutions for addressing the wealth gap, including building the ideal financial plan after college.

1B - Financial Advisors: Your Partner in Economic Success

Panelists will highlight the socioeconomic forces that drive the wealth gap at the state and national levels and discuss how financial advisors help their clients navigate the economic system.

2A - Money, Money, Money: A Student's Perspective

Speakers will share their experiences with money management, as well as their financial goals and how the COB curriculum has prepared them for future financial careers.

2B - Turning the Tables: Students Take on Experts

A mock financial planning session where students roleplay as financial planners and RIAs serve as potential clients.
