Biography

Dr. Jeffrey Maher is a lecturer in the Department of Teaching and Learning at Coppin University, and serves as the coordinator for the M.Ed. program in Teacher Leadership. He holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Leadership for Changing Populations from Notre Dame of Maryland University, a Master of Science degree from Western Maryland College in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He is proud to have served the students of our public schools in Maryland for 31 years, serving in both Prince George’s County and St. Mary’s County, where he served in a variety of instructional and leadership roles, including teacher, principal, staff development specialist, Chief Academic Officer and Chief Strategic Officer. Dr. Maher has also served as an adjunct instructor for undergraduate and graduate programs in education at McDaniel College and St. Mary's College of Maryland.
