Dr. Spry is a Full Professor and Coordinator of the master’s Program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) at Coppin State University (CSU). With a doctorate and an educational specialist degree from George Washington University, along with a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling from CSU, she embodies the ideal blend of academic excellence and practical experience.
With over 25 years in the field, Dr. Spry has dedicated her career to empowering individuals with diverse needs. Her remarkable journey includes developing and directing the Comprehensive Transition Project, which serves students with intellectual disabilities, ensuring they receive the support and resources necessary to thrive.
She established an approved Ticket-to-Work Employment Network through the Social Security Administration, where she has successfully directed initiatives for over 20 years. Her commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities is unparalleled.
Her counseling expertise spans a broad spectrum, including Mentoring and evaluation for high school students and college athletes, providing tailored counseling and assessment services to individuals with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities, and supporting those recovering from challenges with addictions.
Dr. Spry holds an impressive array of credentials, including being a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and Certified Vocational Evaluator, among others. Additionally, she is a certified provider and instructor of Mental Health First Aid, equipping others with the skills to support mental well-being in their communities.
