Coppin State University Creates Freddie Gray Scholarship With Donation from McDonald’s
Coppin State University (CSU) has created the Freddie Gray Student Success Scholarship that will benefit graduates of Carver Vocational-Technical High School.
Named in honor of a former Carver student, the Freddie Gray Student Success Scholarship, was created to provide access and opportunity to students who desire to pursue higher education.
President Jenkins hosted a scholarship ceremony and presentation on Monday, July 12, 2021, in his office. President Jenkins was joined by family members of Freddie Gray, including his sister, Fredricka Gray, and local McDonald’s franchise owner, Danitra Bell.

From health professions to nano technology and business management, our academic programs offer a variety of areas relevant to today’s workforce and that of tomorrow. The Freddie Gray Student Success Scholarship will allow students from Carver to excel and realize their full potential as Coppin State Eagles.”
