BALTIMORE Coppin State University is set to celebrate its rich legacy and promising future with an unforgettable Homecoming, marking 125 years of academic excellence, community impact, and Eagle pride.

This year’s Homecoming, taking place February 16 through February 23, will bring together students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the Baltimore community for a week of events honoring Coppin’s history and the people who make it special. From spirited campus traditions and alumni reunions to an exciting basketball showdown against Norfolk State, the celebration will showcase the strength and resilience that define Coppin.

“As we celebrate Homecoming and 125 years of Coppin State University, we reflect on our enduring commitment to student success, innovation, and service,” said President Anthony L. Jenkins. “This milestone is more than a celebration—it is a testament to the generations of Eagles who have shaped Coppin’s legacy and continue to elevate our university to new heights.”

Founded in 1900, Coppin State University has transformed lives through education, preparing students to lead, serve, and make an impact in their communities. The 125th Anniversary is an opportunity to honor the university’s past while looking ahead to an even brighter future.
