Additional Services

Nope! You don't need an appointment before coming to the Center—most of our attendees are walk-ins. But we do encourage you to schedule some time with us when we get busy, like around midterms and finals. Be sure to plan your visit in enough time to meet your assignment deadlines!
Come as often as you need! And once you’re here, stay as long as you like (or need).
We strongly encourage you to bring your textbooks and class notes. Before you arrive, think about your specific questions or needs so we can best assist you. It’s a bit challenging for us to determine how best to help students who “need help with everything.”
Yes! We loan calculators to students for same-day use. Be prepared to leave your current Coppin ID or driver’s license with the Center when you pick up a calculator, and we’ll have it ready when you return it by close of business. We don’t loan calculators for overnight or weekend use, so if you need one to complete your assignment, plan accordingly!
During low traffic times we may be able to provide individual help.
No. We don’t allow eating, drinking, or phone conversations in the Center. Remember, you are there to get the help you need to be successful in your courses. We give our attention to you, and ask that you give your attention to your tutors.
