Rene Brown is a highly motivated professional with 30+ years of effective customer service, leadership, and managerial experience. She possesses excellent interpersonal, analytical and organization abilities. Rene’ has 10+ years of diverse experience as a Buyer and Project Coordinator. In 1989, she began working in higher education at Baltimore City Community College, then joined the Coppin Family in 2001. Her position as the IT Computer Labs and Helpdesk Manager has played an integral part in aiding, educating and engaging the student community with utilizing the evolutionary technology at Coppin State University. Given the name of “Mamma Brown” by her student workers, Mrs. Brown has hired, trained, coached, motivated and mentored hundreds of student workers. Her democratic management style provides a professional work environment that promotes teamwork, respect, accountability, and leadership to aid students in achieving career advancement after graduation. In her IT Helpdesk role at Coppin State University, Rene' employs effective listening skills to provide invaluable technical assistance and support to students, faculty and staff.
