Dr. Min Zhang serves as the Chairperson and an Assistant Professor of Forensic Investigation at the Department of Criminal Justice. Before she became a full-time faculty member at Coppin, Dr. Zhang worked as a medical examiner, biologist, and international program coordinator. She has spent the past 10 years practicing, researching, and teaching forensic science and criminal justice. Dr. Zhang teaches Forensic Investigation related courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She sees teaching as a craft and skill; educational interactions with future professionals are her favorite parts of her career. Her research interest focuses on exploring virtual autopsy forensic imaging technology in forensic investigations. She is also active in community service. In addition to the university’s committees, she serves as a member, consultant, and journal editor in multiple discipline-related professional communities.
