Stackable Credentials

As one of the first of its kind, Coppin State University's School of Education introduces stackable credentials as a model Career Ladders for Teachers. The new stackable credentials are designed to help realize the goals of the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, offering teachers with both the short-term advantage of earning one or more post-baccalaureate certificates, and the longer-term option of earning an advanced degree with salary incentives and national recognition. The five stackable academic programs include:

  1. Master of Education in Teacher Leadership
  2. Post-Baccalaureate Certificate: Teacher Leadership in Culturally Sustaining Practices (coming soon)

    Required courses: EDUL 601, 602, 603, and 604

  3. Post-Baccalaureate Certificate: Teacher Leadership in High-Tech and High-Impact Practices (coming soon)

    Required courses: EDUL 605, 606, 607, and 608

  4. Post-Baccalaureate Certificate: Teacher Leadership in Action (coming soon)

    Required courses: EDUL 609, 610, 611, and 612

  5. Post-Baccalaureate Certificate: Teacher Leadership (coming soon)

    Required courses: EDUL 601 and EDUL 602 as well as two electives selecting from EDUL 603-612
