Jade Marie Nesbitt, a proud Philadelphia native, is a graduate of the Morgan State University School of social work with her Master of Social Work. Jade is a 2018-19 Annie E. Casey Foundation- Morgan State University Urban Social Work Scholar, and her research focused on community-based therapy research; exploring the impact of alternative therapies. She also has served as a Research Assistant exploring medication adherence barriers to people 45 years old and older who live with HIV. Her clinical work and experience with adult women and transitional age youth. Her therapeutic perspective is Afro-centric with a focus on CBT. Ms. Nesbitt is passionate about working with adults with various abilities and providing equitable access in high education. Ms. Nesbitt also has expertise in international work with STEAM Abroad Inc. Including travels to Guatemala, EL Salvador, parts of south America and Spain; while also practicing her Spanish language skills. In her free time, Ms. Nesbitt transforms spaces and lives. She enjoys cooking, enjoying various cuisines, camping and hiking, and spending time with her pup.
