“My honors coursework was demanding but gave me the background to succeed in graduate school. I particularly benefitted from the Honors Introduction to Research course through which I learned how to use SPSS and developed my understanding of data analysis, which is vital in my field. As an Honors Program participant, I made an invaluable connection with a mentor. The various workshops and services offered by the Program, as well as the guidance I received from my mentor, prepared me for the competitive graduate school admissions process. Moreover, the GRE preparatory sessions gave me a leg-up on the exam and, I believe, led to scholarship and admissions opportunities. I am very thankful for the education I received at Coppin State University and all of the efforts of the Honors Program to assist me in furthering my education.”
